Company Profile

CEOLeightner Electronics, Inc. (LEI) was founded by Paul E. Leightner in 1968 in Plano, Texas, and moved to its present location in 1975. LEI specializes in the building of transformers and power supplies. Typical applications include ground and airborne military hardware, space, downhole test and drilling equipment, and various industrial uses. The experienced staff at LEI has met challenges with innovative designs and reliable products serving industries worldwide and beyond.

Design

LEI design ranges from the most ultra-reliable space specifications to the most economical commercial requirements. Our engineering capabilities include design of magnetic components from open to hermetically sealed units with the most stringent vibration and shock requirements. The combined experience in both military and commercial designs places us in a unique position to offer top quality components.

Manufacturing

LEI is equipped for toroidal, multiple, and high-speed winding. Manufacturing facilities include a complete varnish and potting operation together with vacuum impregnation and thermal shock capabilities and a fully integrated test and measurement area.

Customer Service

From the smallest complex coil design to fully integrated electronic components, LEI strives to meet your most stringent requirements. Leightner Electronics is prepared to apply their knowledge and experience with magnetic components to any assembly to produce a more economical or smaller package.

Quality Control

The Quality Control System at Leightner Electronics is based on the practices contractually required by our customers and the latest revision of MIL-I-45208. All usual test procedures are standardized. Quality Control Manuals are available upon request.
